Organic Cotton Clothing - Feel the Difference

Organic cotton clothing not only feels good but it is better for the environment. Organic clothing is very popular right now and starting to become in high demand. People are worried about cotton when it’ snot organic because of the chemicals that might cause harm to your body.

Studies show that there has been a 25% increase with pesticide involving cotton. This has made some people get uncomfortable with the use of regular cotton. Organic cotton does not use any synthetic fertilizers nor do they use toxins. Best yet, it is free from bleach and dyes. With allergies becoming a big problem, this is very helpful for those that are allergic to certain chemicals that they use with cotton.

Shirts that are dyed have a lot of harmful toxins that most people don’t know about. Manufacturers are trying to stop the unhealthy chemicals that could cause harm to the environment by using organic cotton that is colored. Today you can buy organic cotton shirts that are colorful and they look just the same as regular shirts. One of the best parts about having a organic shirt is that they don’t fade and the color will deepen after you wash it.

Not only can you get cotton organic shirts but you can get organic cotton balls. Another fact is people can get cancer from chemicals from pesticides that are is related to cotton and so that’s another reason why it’s healthier. That’s why people use organic cotton balls on their skin to reduce the chance of getting cancer.

There are lots of organic cotton products that you can buy and not ever have to worry about those pesticides again. You will find that in most cases, it’s just like having the real deal and you won’t even notice a huge difference except that organic cotton feels very nice.

What brands of clothes sell organic clothes for kids, not just babies?
I don't need baby sizes. I know Hanna Andersson sells size 110 (4-6) with organic stuff. I'm looking for more though. Any great brands out there for sizes 5 and up for kids? I'm not looking for just t-shirts that are plain with one little iron on or something...so many organic shirts are plain. I'm looking for the stuff they have similar to the Hanna Andersson stuff. Cute stuff. I also don't have a fortune to spend...I usually buy walmart, children's place sales, and target stuff. (I have 2 kids, about the same size, both girls) So far, thank you for those who actually listed some sites for me. For those who want to get into the definition of organic, or who think they don't exist, the definition of organic I am using is cotton grown with no pesticides, just like organic fruits and veggies are. And yes...those who think they don't exist...they do. If you're going to post in a response, please understand that they do exist...so even if YOU think they don't, others know they do...don't respond, I am truly looking for clothes. And those who want to argue the logic behind organicness, yes, I know anything carbon based is organic because all organic matter is comprised of carbon. (I grew up in a scientific household) This is a different meaning, so don't argue it on here.

How organic/green are you?
What do you do to help the planet/yourself? What are you doing for earth day? I am about 50% green (Kinda hard in our society!) I drive a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. Its a V8 and 4-wheel drive (TONS OF GAS!) But, I do recycle (When I remember) , take the bus to school, I use reusable canvas bags instead of plastic (When I can), I have a few Organic shirts that support the world and AIDS, and I do what I can when I can. For my health I drink Silk Soy Milk (Starting to get used to it!), I go to the local flea markets where the fruits and veggies are cheaper and organic, I try to drink organic milk!, walk my Doberman for exerciser (For the both of us) Instead of driving him to the dog park or beach, I use green cleaning products, and I am going to plant a tree on earth day! Ladies- FYI but when I was in our natural food store buying liver oil for my dog (Ok, guilty. I didnt go there on my own will, but my vet made me go there!) and they have REUSABLE CLOTH PADS! EWWWWW!!!

Love at first sight...again?
walked into a store- a yoga clothing and equipment store. Searching for some organic shirts and bottoms. An employee, as they normall do, asks if I need any help. I ask for what I'm looking for. And the nice man shows me, after a few mintues with him- still thinking nothing of it. Our eyes met. Amazing.. breath taking. My heart melted. As you can tell because I am still thinking about it. But I guess my question is- is this okay to be feeling like this? I'm married! I'm in love with my husband. And I feel as though I'm completely head over heels, for just this one encounter. We spoke and I found out he was vegan just like me. My hubby isn't. He was into yoga, just like me (I'm a yoga teacher). My hubby hates yoga. I just need some advice. Thanks Guys! Or your opinion- has this ever happened to you? great advice- thank you guys! I won't go back, it's not worth it at all!

Debunking 'Green Living': Combatting Climate Change Requires Lifestyle Changes, Not Organic Products

When I first heard that the Union of Concerned Scientists was creating a research-based guide to green living, I was ecstatic. How brilliant, I thought, to finally have the answer to the question of which of the seemingly infinite "green" actions make the most difference. Should I obsess about turning the lights off before I left the house? Was composting worth the effort after all? UCS, which ...
