Why Build a Home Renewable Energy System? - 3 Critical Factors to Consider

Just by looking at our current global situation, we can easily see our heavy dependence on oil and fossil fuels. The demand is slowly outweighing the supply causing many to wonder what the future holds. This begs the question: why build a home renewable energy system?

Supply and Demand of Oil and Fossil Fuels. I alluded to that a little bit in my opening remarks. Oil and fossil fuels are critical to our society on a national level and a world wide level. Our dependence may even be just under our dependence on water and food. In today's world, the demand for oil is increasing with developing countries but the supply is dwindling quickly because it is a finite resource. This in turn is increasing the cost of oil, as is always the case when demand is higher than the supply. A basic law of economics.

Pollution. The use of oil and fossil fuels is the number one cause of air pollution. Air pollution has been linked to many of the illnesses and sicknesses that are plaguing us in this world. The causes of this air pollution is the result of motor vehicle traffic and the combustion of fossil fuels for power generation and industry usage. These pollutants usually cause chemical reactions in the atmosphere and produce secondary pollutants like acid rain and ground level ozone.

Global Warming. This is one of the major issues that is facing our world today. It is an increasing problem that is causing temperature increases in the planet's atmosphere. This rise in temperature posses some great dangers for our planet one of which is the melting that is taking place at the ice caps causing the rising of water levels and tides. Global warming is also the cause of the rising sea temperatures which in turn is increasing the occurrence of the severe weather conditions such as hurricanes, floods and typhoons. The main cause of this warming is attributed to the burning of fossil fuels for human needs leading to the increased presence of unwanted carbon monoxide in the atmosphere and creating the 'greenhouse' effect that traps heat in the atmosphere.

The above are just a few of the reasons why you should consider to build a home renewable energy system. There are plenty more reasons and a resource that shows you how you can build your own solar energy system at http://www.GenerateGreenPower.info. You owe it to yourself and your world to find out more about this subject that is so critical to our world today.
