Build your Own Green House! Green House Design Made Simple!
Having your own green house nursery is a dream of many gardeners. Imagine being able to walk through your own garden full of herbs and vegetables and beautiful plants protected from the elements and roving destructive insects and animals. If you have a green thumb this could be your idea of heaven and green house construction is not that hard which makes this an attractive project to get into.
Building a greenhouse requires first of all a decent amount of room, at least 10 meters by 20 meters is a good size but you can go much larger if you choose. The more compact the cheaper and easier of course but if you want small you can always get a DIY green house kit but the limitations on these are quite restrictive.
Next you need your materials:
-Wooden poles to construct doors and frames for each end of the green house and if quite a large greenhouse you may need more to prop up the roof. A strong end structure and centre are vital for sturdy construction. Make sure the wood is treated however as it can get quite damp and you do not want it to rot.
-6mm clear plastic, enough to cover the entire area of your greenhouse. Getting more than you need is ok as you may need to replace some sections as time goes on.
-Enough PVC piping to create the structure for the green house like a rib cage curving from the ground one side to the other. This is done in pieces not one long piece.
-Metal stakes, this is for hammering into the ground for a solid base for your PVC piping which then slide onto it to hold it in place.
-Duct tape, an essential part of any handyman's kit! You will need to use a fair bit of this to join pieces together.
-Hammer, nails and so on
While you may need a few other bits and bobs this is the main structure for your greenhouse. You will need to use the wood to create the doors and ends of the greenhouse making sure they are well propped up by hammering them deep into the round or by having some wooden poles propping the structure up on a 45 degree angle from the frame.
You then need to hammer the metal stakes into the ground at even intervals between the frames keeping them about 2 meters apart is about right. The metal stakes must line up on the left and right side also of course.
Once the stakes are on you can slot the PVC piping onto the metal stakes giving the PVC a good solid structure at the bottom so it can hold up your roof. Bend the PVC piping as much as you can so it makes a U shape over the top of where the green house will be and slide the other end into the metal stake at the other side.
This may mean you need to cut the PVC into smaller sections and use some small PVC flexible joiners you can buy from any hardware store.
By now you should have the frame for your green house and quite a study one. Now you need to put the plastic cover over your green house. This can be tricky and you may need to cut lengths to fit but using your duct tape and measuring well you should be able to create a cover for the whole structure and keep it in place with more duct tape or even by plastic ties if you choose, the cover must be attached to each piece of the structure so there is no movement. Do not forget to cut a door in the cover also!
The cover can be held in place at the ground by good duct taping or by some large heavy rocks; some have used tent pegs to tie it to the ground but whatever works best for you.
You now can build your own green house and can bring in all the extras you need to tend your green house nursery!

Help?! Is my cat pregnant? Help!?
(Im tired of those answers were you say "SPAY YOUR CAT" OR "YOUR KILLING CATS IN THE SHELTER EVERYDAY BECAUSE YOUR CARELESSNESS")
Two years ago Me and my 4 siblings found a kitten on the street, she was just a tiny little baby, and we took her home, bought some Goat milk, bottle and read a lot of books about how to raise a kitten, we also named her Stella and my siblings loved her and my parents too, my neighbor offered us free shots for her but we decided not to spay her since she doesn't go outside.
Now shes two years old, she been inside all her life well we have a cat walk and a landry room outside she likes to sleep in. So yesterday she went in to heat but she was accidentally left in the Landry room and the gate was open, around midnight or early morning my little brother woke me up and said that our cat is mating with another cat, I jumped out of bed and saw her mating with two other male cats, I scared them away and put out cat back inside.
Since it was Easter today, we went to 5am Mass at our church, she was put in the Landry room (we always put them their) and we closed the gate (our landry room is like a 4 wall old room and their use to be a wall but we cut it, put a gate so that could be another way to go in the back yard)
When we got home, we found her mating with another the two males from the night before, I scared them away again and put my cat inside the house.
Shes rolling over and licking her self, she won't let anyone touch her belly but her nipples are not swollen or her stomach did not change. Is she pregnant?
I told my neighbor who provided the shots (shes a vet and foster home) and she said she'll take her to her working place and do a free aultro sound for us if shes pregnant, I called my friend and she told me she would take two kittens when they move to their new house they got, and my other friends and her sister want two kittens, they said they went to the shelter to adopted some cat but the shelter refused to give them any cats because the shelter people didnt want the cats to be outdoors but inside, but my two friends can't have them inside, but were going to use their old plant green house to house the cats.
I am tired of you guys saying that IM KILLING KITTENS IN THE SHELTER! I know its my fault she got pregnant for not spaying her, but I chose not too, the local shelter charges about $230 since shes not a wild cat roaming the street, but I'm saving money to send to my grandma to come to America since she has stage four cancer and she really needs treatment.
Once my grandma is here my mom said we can BOTH spay her and her kittens, I just need to know if shes pregnant or not?! So what if shes pregnant, whats done is done! I had raise her even before her eyes opened and I love my cat so much (DONT FRIKEN SAY THAT IF YOU LOVE YOUR CAT SO MUCH YOU SHOULD OF SPAYED HER) and I will get her spayed but my grandma is more important, if she's pregnant I want her to have her kittens, my parents are willing to help take care of her kittens and pay for anything she needs.
Shes just rolling around, shes eating more and drinking more, she won't let me or my siblings touch her belly..
My grandma has stage three cancer sorry! and I love my grandma, I know she can fight it off, and she does wanna she her only great-great granddaughter (my sisters baby) before she passes and she wants to be in american when she dies.
Im not making an excuse, I love my cat so much, and the kittens will be loved as well! comapare me to the a person who beats up cats and kills them for fun? Seriously! I just wanna know if she's pregnant? and what to do, should i make her abort her baby and get her spayed? should i leave her in the freeway? should i not care about her anymore? or should i help her raise her kittens and find the homes they deserve, and get her spayed after her kittens left her? I rather do the last one!
OHH AND I FRIKEN ASK THIS QUESTION BECAUSE THE OTHERS ARE REALLY STUIPD AND MEAN!!
I can afford to take her to a vet, but i rather take her to my neighbor who is next door and is able to help me for free

Back in 1983 and 1984 all I did was get drunk, get high and bang loose chicks?
I worked for a greenhouse. Used to start about 6-8 plants indoors in February with the pansies. By this time of year, I'd move the plants to a clearing in the woods about 200' from the green house. Me and this weird chick worked there full time year round. We'd screw and party every day. I can't even remember her last name anymore. We got paid to be there and nobody cared what we did so long as the plants grew and got shipped out. In the summer it actually sucked because there was a part timer to help us. We couldn't party openly or let him see us heading out to our few plants. Between just using withdrawal and plain old luck, I have no idea how she never got pregnant. After we shipped the poinsettias in November 1984, the owner pulled the plug on the greenhouse. Sold the land to a developer and started getting everything from a wholesaler. I got 6 months unemployment out of that deal, so did my friend. We grew apart and lost touch. Since about this time in 1985, I've had to work for real and stop living that life. I miss it, but they say you can never go back. Is there any way around that? I really wish it was April 1983, I was 19 and was just starting this job. Where is that 19 year old kid? What happened to him? I look in the mirror and don't recognize this old man.
