Homemade Solar Panels - the lowdown

DIY solar panels are a good idea for your house, your bank account and for the planet earth. By employing the natural energy that the solar panels produce, saving a large amount of money on electricity bills is easy and it can be as much as an 90% saving! This type of natural energy is employed in many situations and for many types of devices already. It is more and more being used, not only in people's houses and business organisations, but also in commercial premises and for some industrial power supplies. You may be amazed to learn that there are even power pumping stations and some telecommunications equipment that utilize the energy produced by solar panels and other natural resources.

As well as being a great instrument for saving cash on energy bills, it also helps the environment and as such is often named green power' or 'sustainable energy'. It not only saves money but its totally environmentally friendly as well. This is also true of other environmentally friendly power sources such as wind power.

Homemade Solar Panels are a group of photovoltaic cells; these essentially create an environmentally friendly power source from the sun. This energy is called solar energy. The top-quality performance for this way of energy production is making sure that the cells are exposed to the sunlight for as much of the day as possible, this system works best in moderate rather than excessive temperatures however it will work in really hot climates also. The solar panels are usually mounted on rooftops, though it is viable to mount them on special stand alone chassis too. The most critical part of installing solar panels is to ensure that they are based where they will gain the most exposure to sunlight and to avoid any shade if possible. Clearly the more sun that they are exposed to, the more energy they will generate.

When getting ready to construct your own solar cells for your solar panels, great care must is needed to construct it correctly to be absolutely sure that the maximum efficiency is reached. There are various products available today that make it extremely easy for the average individual to construct their own solar panels. home made solar panels are affordable to build and with the right instructions and materials, it is achievable to start saving money on electricity bills almost immediately. Not only that, but if sufficient power is created there are many places where it is feasible to sell the excess energy back to the energy company!

Should I switch into engineering?
O.k currently I'm taking a Bachleor of Arts degree in international affairs and Culture.I really want to help the world.I'm also very good at these social science courses and have A's and scholarships becuase of my skills in this field, but I really feel that international relations may not be the way to go to try and help the world.Employment with a B.A is guarenteed only if you want to be a secretary.Politics and words are bullshit.I feel that if you really want to make a difference YOU must create it. In enginnering I would love to be a mechanical engineer so that I could create environmentally friendly power sources. The poorest countries are rich in eco energry, lots of sun and wind. But I suck at science!my chemistry 30 highschool mark was a 65% and that is me doing it again!I love technology and the potential for good it has,but I will fail engineering, and be bottom of my class.Should I stay in what I'm good at and have no job,or go into something I believe in and fail?

How much Uranium Ore is there in the world?
Nuclear is supposed to be a safe and environmentally friendly power source, but surely this ore will run out one day, just like coal, iron etc.

Hi friends, i'mn Italian..Do you like this composition about Nuclear and environment? It's a good English?Thnx?
Nuclear power has been a massive waste of money. It has only created disaster after disaster. It is bad for the environment and is very harmful to humans. Humans and animals can get very sick from the radioactive material. There are three important reasons as to why nuclear plants should be banned. Firstly, nuclear power plants have only created disaster after disaster. When a meltdown occurs, radioactive matter is released into the atmosphere. This has been proven many times. Some places where this has happened were in Three Mile Island and Chernobyl, not to mention the recent one in Japan. Don?t you think the Japanese have suffered enough? First the earthquake, then the devastating tsunami and now the survivors are at risk of getting sick from the radioactive material. They would not be as worried if there were no nuclear power plants. Think of their screams, their tears and their worries. Now what do you think? Secondly, nuclear power is extremely bad for the environment, when there is a meltdown. During a meltdown radioactive material is released into the atmosphere. This is the atmosphere we live in. When it?s released it either floats with the wind or falls to the ground. When it falls the radioactive matter mixes in with the soil and is very difficult to get out. If you use that area for rice crops they will die or produce food with radioactive material in it. It will cost millions to fix if you want to reuse the space. If the radioactive matter is in the air, it travels with the wind and puts humans lives in risk. There are many more human and environmentally friendly power sources. Some include solar and wind power. These are much cheaper and more reliable. What would you rather? Remember this is our ?Tax? money we?re talking about. Finally, all living things are at severe risk of dying. Humans for a start can get extremely sick from eating products that have come in contact with radioactive material. It may not affect humans now but in years to come, they will develop cancer. The radioactive material is airborne so it travels with the wind, therefore affecting the whole world not just the localized area of the disaster. High radioactive levels have been found all around the world. This might be your country. Would you like to get cancer because of stupid nuclear power plants? In conclusion, I strongly believe that nuclear power plants should be banned because of the risks they have against humans. They were built to be environmentally friendly but they are definitely not. The disasters have devastated people. All you have to do to save our future is support this argument by standing up for the people in Japan and put a stop to the Nuclear Power Industry.
