‘Green' Coffee : Is your coffee Environmentally Friendly?

When I say green coffee I'm not talking about the colour, I'm talking about it being environmentally sound.

When we purchase our favorite ‘mocha' from our regular coffee supplier, how much thought do we actually give to where our coffee comes from, and what happens to our waste when we throw it away? If you're like me… until very recently, not a great deal. But with issues such as global warming having a more and more noticeable impact on our world, it's about time we sat up and took notice.

In today's economic crisis you'd be forgiven for not worrying too much about our environment, but one company I came across who is clearly doing their bit for eco friendly distribution is Flavia a coffee drinks machine manufacturer who pride themselves on ‘doing their bit' to support environmental change.

The Flavia drinks machine prides itself on being more economical than other brands and supports sustainability in all of its projects. Flavia producers of coffee and drinks machine's, are among some of the number one advocates in the fight to protect our environment.

The filter-packs used to store the drinks are reused and turned into energy… so not only do you get your caffeine boost… so does the world! This is all part of the ‘Thirsty For Change' campaign which more and more coffee and drinks machine distributors should join in order to make the world a ‘greener' place. Most big manufacturers are now thinking BIG in order to think green. A lot of consumers now refuse to buy products that aren't eco friendly - and as such, if manufacturers want to stay in business they are doing everything they can to give consumers what they want.

So as a consumer, make sure you insist on eco friendly products and only buy from companies that support environmental change…

So rather than purchase your beverage of choice from the local coffee shop, why not stay in the office - utilize the drinks machine and enjoy a cup of quality coffee knowing that you're helping the environment one ‘latte' at a time.
