How to start being eco friendly?
I would like to know how I can jump start being more eco friendly as a family. I am already known by friends and family as a "treehugger" because I make an effort to be environmentally friendly. What I do so far is this- I use cloth grocery bags. I recycle all plastic glass and metals.(we use cardboard and paper as firestarters in our firepit). I have a compost bin in our yard so I don't fill bags with compostable stuff. We closely watch our heating and cooling settings. We use biodegradable cat litter. I use eco friendly cleaning products. I walk everywhere in town I can walk. Im 7 months pregnant, trying to figure out more ways to be eco friendly, how to have an eco friendly baby- I will be using reuseable diapers (www.gdiapers.com), making my own baby food, nursing not formula feeding, using natural baby products. I am looking for more ideas on little things to do around the house to reuse, recycle, and be even more eco minded. Tips appreciated! On a small budget!
