Is it weird that i dont like cars?
i am 36..a telecom engineer and living in a walk to work complex ,(thank god for that) i just hate cars..i think they r dangerous...and massive spoilers..i think vehicles should only be for long distance travel..and all cities should have just public transport and Bicycles..or at best two wheelers pref on biofuels/electricity. do u think i am weird? the city i live in and also grew up in..in north India..was a quaint little town with hardly ne cars..even 2 wheelers were rare...thats till abt 1984 thats the year India got its first Suzuki made car plant and our first ever indigenous car was rolled out in may 1984..that day and today..the cars have ruined my city and my town thanx all you who cared to reply ... making public transport better is a much tougher issue than ne of us can imagine..but the thought process has to start now..the aim should be to shun cars as much as possible and use PT ..if some one wants to show off his wealth and sucess..let there be abt 10% cars only roads in the city..for which he pays heavy taxes..i have actually started a SHUN YOUR CAR club in my hometown..the response in the first 2 months has been surprisingly very encouraging ne one who needs to share thoughts can mail me at atul292 at gmail
