Why do Republicans want to drill so bad here again?
What makes you think the money profited will go directly to Americans or have any affect on oil prices here? Have you ever heard of a thing called the world market? They can drill more here, but chances are they will sell it to the highest bidder. If we drill baby drill the corporate CEO's will just put it on the world market and most likely sell it to China, which will make plastics bags and sell back to us at a higher price with the jobs we sent over there. I suppose if we did drill we could regulate these guys to sell us cheap oil since we need it and would make the country stronger. oops I said regulate and we know that these libertarian republicans would never regulate anything. O and to the people who say, you use oil products in your car and everyday life. I will agree, but am not stupid enough to believe we cant use alternate energy sources and aren't being propagated by the rich politicians and oil guys to believe this is the only way. Never on an issue will I take the side of the guys making billions To quagmire ill replace the chances are with a will. Why wouldn't they. To the other guy, if I start a company in the US I have to sell it to Americans? Yes it is basic supply and demand and we don't have a lot of supply. What we would get would be a drop in the bucket and not really do a whole lot. Why not comment on the lets find alternative energy insteas of defending fat cats and the talking heads. Did Glenn Beck's Mormon ass tell you all this. God damnit quit calling me a liberal. I hate them all!!!! As you should. Im an anarchist not a capitalist. Man anwr is a beautiful place. How long do you think it would take to fuck it up like the gulf or the previous spill in alaska or the more forgotten california spill. Yes I understand that we make a lot of stuff from oil but we use about 2/3rds of our overall consumption on transportation. Seems like an easy fix to dependence on foreign oil. Drive more efficient cars. That seems like a far better alternative to me than drilling more here and giving money to these terrorist countries. Stop trying to complicate such an easily solvable issue through an intricate economic system. Supply and demand is a great idea as long as it isn't corrupt. I think we all know that the price of a gallon of oil doesn't reflect how much a gallon of oil costs.

OK We need to get off Foreign Oil but do we need to Get Off our Own Oil? Oil is cheap, dependable, nothing yet?
discovered will transform into an energy source for dependable cars, trucks, equipment, uses of energy sources that made this country great. So here is the question, why do we want to get off Oil? Giving so much money and control to foreign countries needs to be stopped but why would we want to get off oil, cold turkey? Let's use our own oil, from our own environment; there is not viable alternative, Jimmy Carter (intelligent man, no common sense but intelligent) spent millions on alternative energy sources; remember how the Solar Panels were ripped out of the White House some years after his term, they didn't work?? If oil were just discovered today for the first time, we would think we had found the pot at the end of the rainbow. So, do we need to get off Oil or just get off Foreign Oil, run on our own oil? and just for this question, please don't tell me about treaties and buy/sell policies, etc; I mean just the question, is it oil that we need to find an alternate energy source for or just Foreign Oil?

Al Gore , and Obama want to bring in a new tax, and any onewho belives their garbage will mechanicle repeat it like a well trained chimp. While I feel that cap n trade, would be a nightmare I see a lot of real solutions that would just make sence, and improve our way of life... Solutions both sides would agree on. 1. The maglift train, expensive at first, but would require no fuel, and eventually reduce the costs of goods . That require transport 2. Alternate energy source 3. more efficiantelectric cares 4 More efficant windmills, 5. Ending NAFTA , china don't listen to our EPA * more efficient electric cars, not sure how i managed that typo
